PRIVACY POLICY — EXPENSE NOTEBOOK

Expense Notebook, part of the Ví Nhà product family, is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. The app follows a local-first approach and collects as little data as possible.

1. Data we process

Local storage: All data you enter into the app, such as expense transactions, categories, notes and settings, is stored entirely on your device and protected by encryption.

No server storage: We do not create user accounts, collect your expense history or sync it to any server operated by the developer.

2. Internet connection & external services

The app connects to the internet only when you perform a specific action:

Exchange-rate lookup: The app retrieves publicly available foreign-exchange rates from Vietcombank. This request does not include any of your expense data or personal information.

VietQR generation: The app converts account information that you voluntarily enter into a payment QR code.

No tracking or advertising: The app contains no advertising and does not collect user behavior for marketing purposes.

3. Backups & restore

Backup files are created locally on your device and protected with a password. You have full control over managing, storing or sharing these files. We cannot access your backups.

4. Data deletion rights

Because all data is processed and stored locally on your device and is not sent to the developer's servers, you have full control and can delete it at any time.

4.1. Deleting financial data in the app

The app provides a way to remove all recorded expense and financial data while keeping your personal preferences:

  • How to do it: Go to Cài đặt (Settings) → Sao lưu & khôi phục (Backup & restore) → choose Xóa toàn bộ dữ liệu (Delete all data), then enter the confirmation phrase XÓA TOÀN BỘ.
  • Data deleted: All transaction history, categories, money sources, balances, outstanding debt, limits, reimbursements, split bills and local statistics.
  • Data retained: Existing backup files, app settings, language preferences, interface preferences and security settings.

4.2. Other ways to delete data

  • Partial deletion: You can manually delete an individual transaction, category or backup file in the app.
  • Deletion through the operating system: Use Clear Data or Uninstall for Expense Notebook in Android Settings. This removes all data, internal backup files and app configuration from the device.
  • External backup files: If you have shared or saved backup files to Google Drive, email, a computer or another service, you must delete those files directly from the relevant storage service.

5. Children

The app does not knowingly collect or identify personal information from children.
